OMV donates technical devices for children from SOS Children's Village in Kraljevo
-
- This spring, despite the challenges brought by the pandemic, the employees of OMV Serbia managed to make the children from this village happy as well
This year, OMV Serbia provided funds for a donation to purchase technical devices such as refrigerators, a dishwasher, and a TV set aimed at improving the living conditions of children and young people, inhabitants of the SOS Children's Village Kraljevo.
Since the beginning of its business in Serbia, OMV nurtures successful cooperation with the SOS Children's Villages Serbia Foundation, one of whose programs is the Children's Village Kraljevo. This cooperation includes donations and support for various initiatives and projects that change the lives of hundreds of children across Serbia and give them an opportunity for a better future.
"Employees of OMV Serbia are especially looking forward to the holiday gatherings with these wonderful children, and the moments when we make them happy with the performance and gifts. This year, the circumstances are somewhat different due to the pandemic, however even that did not stop us from fulfilling our mission in slightly different circumstances this spring", says Retail Manager at OMV Serbia Nikola Bozalo on presenting of the donation.
"Thanks to the excellent long-term mutual cooperation with the Foundation, we tried to understand their current needs and provide support in the form of various technical devices for food preparation and storage, then devices for maintaining cleanliness and the entertainment devices as well. We sincerely hope that these devices will facilitate the daily life and contribute so that the residents of this Children's Village grow up in a better and safer environment", concluded Bozalo.
OMV Serbia is also a proud partner of the "Golden Heart" Club, which was initiated by this Foundation. In several separate activities at OMV filling stations, consumers had the opportunity to meet the Foundation's representatives at special stands and support them through donations. The very good response of consumers in these actions has especially encouraged OMV Serbia in its efforts to continue helping the wider community, especially children and youth.
The SOS Children's Villages Serbia Foundation provides long-term, continuous support to children and young people without parental care until their independence. It is a member of the International Organization SOS Children's Villages, founded in 1949, which provides support to more than 1,200,000 people in 136 countries and territories, with the mission of forming families for children in need, helping build their future and developing the communities in which they live.
