AdBlue® provides cleaner air

In 2014 the new Euro 6 carbon emission standards came into force. Thus, the standards for nitrogen oxide (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC) and particulate matter (PM) emissions for trucks and buses have become even stricter.

To comply with the new standards, modifications to the engine were no longer sufficient. The answer was in SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology, which is a process by which the catalyst simultaneously reduces all pollutants. AdBlue® is indispensable for the operation of this technique.

Thus, the nitrogen oxides that pollute, are transformed into nitrogen and water, elements harmless to the environment, being basic components of the air.
